Mudpie hosted informative seminars at London College of Fashion

Fiona Jervey hosted the Mudpie seminars at the LCF
Today’s consumers are adapting to a new model for living based on an alternative future that combines science and technology with social cohesion and collective influence, according to Fiona Jenvey CEO of Mudpie Ltd, who hosted a series of seminars at the London College of Fashion last week, covering men's, women's and kids' trends.
The success of Mudpie today demonstrates that you can run an international design and fashion trend forecasting house without having to be based in London (often the preferred choice for the headquarters of top international clothing brands, retailers and companies in the UK) as Fiona’s company is based on the UK’s south coast (in Southampton) where she runs Mudpie with her husband and co-director Andrew, who is CFO of Mudpie.  The company was established as a design consultancy in 1993.  I got to know Fiona in 2006.  Fiona was enlisted to join a panel of industry experts for the International Colour Authority (ICA) for seasonal colour predictions, published by ITBD Benjamin Dent.  Since then, Fiona launched Mdpclick.com, today a successful information on-line service for fashion brands and retailers.   She told me then that she wanted to launch Mdpclick to rival WGSN, but at more competitive prices.

Attendees from the industry peruse Mudpie's Trend Books
Fiona regularly speaks at major trend events in Europe, the Americas and Asia and contributes her trend insights to industry and education publications. Under Fiona's direction, Mudpie produces trend information books for the contemporary women's, men's and children's wear industries. Fiona has formed strategic partnerships with the likes of magazine publishers, trade fairs and industry specialists in over fifty countries worldwide.
Fiona Jenvey graduated from the London College of Fashion in 1989 and has worked within the UK retail sector as a design and product manager for a number of retailers. I am happy to see that Mudpie has now grown tremendously and have opened offices worldwide.
For the Autumn/winter 2011/12 season, Fiona predicts three trends:- Synergy, Primal and Innovate. Influences include traditions and architecture of the Nordic States and Scandinavian aesthetic to inspire contemporary looks.
