Congratulations to Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland for winning the US Open Golf 2010 championship that was completed a few days ago on June 20 in Pebble Beach, California.
Although I was visiting California at the time, I could only watch the tournament on TV but I did have the chance to see the beautiful coastline of southern Californian and visited the 17-mile drive at Pebble Beach with my hubby a few years ago. It's an impressive scenic place to match South Africa's southern coast. If you had read my piece on the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa posted on June 4th, you would realise how much I have been taken by the South African coastline. Anyway, if you were following the US Open this year, you would probably wonder who set up the US Open Village used by the members of the Pebble Beach Resoorts and golfers of the championship this year. It's the work of Classic, an event organiser and party rental company headquartered in Los Angeles.
Classic Party Rentals' high-profile event roster includes Hollywood awards shows and movie premieres, celebrity weddings and charity events.
But no job is too small for Classic. Last week I was in San Diego attending a small private party and the hosts also hired Classic for their party essentials. The hosts were celebrating the graduation of their son, whose school colour was Red and Black, which by the way are often the colours of Tiger Wood's attire when he's competing.
