I woke up to a sunny morning, and indeed a new government has dawned on Great Britain. I was again glued to the television set to watch the news, and to keep tap on the latest developments in British politics. It was a remarkable day yesterday, it's a remarkable new start today. Gordon Brown's farewell speech yesterday evening brought a tear to my eye, especially when afterwards he and Sarah led their two young sons out of No. 10 Downing Street, and it was the first time the two boys were shown to the public.
David Cameron, leader of Conservative party, is now UK's new PM, and he welcomed the new deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrats to No. 10 this morning for the a new day in British government, and we all feel for them for the difficult job at hand. Without looking at photo captions, one can be forgiven for not able to tell which is which. They do usher in a new era as two youngest persons ever to take up the two most important posts in British government for over 200 years. Good luck to them!
